Meet Our Principal

Mr. Jeff Podesto

Mr. Podesto is an experienced and well-respected principal who will lead Yosemite Community Day School. He has nearly 27 years of experience in education, with the last 19 years as a school administrator. He has the passion, expertise, and proven success record to work with students who need unique and specialized support.

After joining MUSD in 1996, Mr. Podesto started in the classroom as a substitute teacher before accepting a junior high teaching position at August Knodt Elementary. He became a vice principal in 2004 and worked at various elementary schools throughout Weston Ranch for 9 years. In 2013, Mr. Podesto was selected as the principal of George Komure Elementary School where he has proudly served for the past 10 years.

As he steps into this new role, Mr. Podesto is excited to focus on helping the school’s most at-promise students build a foundation and the skills necessary so that they may reach their full potential.

Student success is achievable through a system of support and positive, conducive relationships with staff, teachers, and families at home. I look forward to helping students build a strong foundation for their academic journey.
